Middle East News.Net Tuesday 8th July, 2008
The world millionaires club has grown to ten million for the first time.
The combined wealth of the globe’s millionaires last year, grew to nearly US$41 trillion.
The average wealth of the club individuals was more than $4 million, the highest it’s ever been.
Home values were not included in asset totals.
The ranks of the wealthy are growing fastest in the developing economies of India, China and Brazil.
But the United States still comes first in the millionaire statistics, with one in every three millionaires in the world living in America.
Combined, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America account for just one in 10.
