PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan has said his country is ready to host Lebanon-Armenians who would like to settle in Karabakh.

'Despite the scarcity of housing, we are ready to host all our Lebanese-Armenian compatriots in our homes,' Harutyunyan said on Monday, August 10.

Karabakh has sent humanitarian aid to Lebanon following the devastating blast that hit Beirut on August 4. According to official information, the explosion was the result of the detonation of 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate that had been stored for six years without safety measures at Beirut's port. As of Tuesday, the death toll from the explosion has risen to 220, and that 110 people remained missing.

The Karabakh President also revealed that financial support will be sent to the Lebanese Armenian community, calling on everyone in Artsakh to take part in upcoming fundraisers.
